Good observation. It still amazes me that places use tapes like it's 90s episode of law and order. Digital recordiong and archival has been around at least 20 years and nowadays you can do close to lossless recording and archival extremely easily.

Being happy is hard because they snuck in a poison pill. The recommendations board is no longer senate confirmable and can be replaced at-will by the executive branch. Completely tethering the recommendations to whomever holds the office of the president.

What happens whenever someone bring this up is they start moving everyone to part-time status as opposed to fixing the problem.

It's almost as if at the very start of the Trump term they implemented a massive tariff scheme that will show consequences sometime within the year as prepurchased stockpiles of goods disappear causing price increases (inflation).
