May Renee Nicole Good’s and Alex Pretti’s memories be a blessing. May their courage and goodness and divine light ignite a fire in all of us so strong that it melts ICE to the ground.

Shabbat Shalom to the 100+ rabbis who joined clergy in Minneapolis today to say:

Jews stand with our neighbors. We want ICE out of Minnesota, out of NYC, and out of all our communities.

#ICEOutForGood march has started in NYC with THOUSANDS of NYers protesting in freezing temps.

We refuse to let this administration target our cities one by one. Our communities deserve to live free from raids, detention, and the expanding reach of surveillance.

While JFREJ rabbis march as part of a delegation of clergy to Minneapolis, their fellow New Yorkers home in NYC are taking to streets with in solidarity. Our JFREJ crew is starting to gather.

Though understandably overlooked due to Z's star power, another major electoral win in NYC last year was the election of more progressives to the Council.

@nycprogressives.bsky.social, which has developed its most ideologically coherent culture in years, now has 24 members—just 2 shy of a majority.
