Tuberculosis Spawning in Crowded, Dirty ICE Detention Centers - The American Prospect
Doctors and medical researchers expect more outbreaks of infectious disease as the Trump administration crams thousands more people into miserable conditions.
Tuberculosis has been circulating in ICE prisons for months. I wrote it back in August and there is no doubt in my mind that there are way more outbreaks than we're aware of. We have to get people out of these camps.

DeLauro to pressing clergy: 'I will not vote to abolish ICE'
The Connecticut U.S. representative found herself at odds with faith leaders.
โI would rather you vote for what is morally correct,โ Davidson said.
โDonโt talk to me about my own morality,โ DeLauro shot back.
โDonโt tell your constituents what they can and canโt talk to you about,โ replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. โWhat you are voting for is not moral.โ

Is the US posing a hidden risk in the Westโs critical minerals strategy?
The Trump administrationโs recent official guidance on supply chain vulnerabilities related to critical minerals reached a striking conclusion. US policymakers are acknowledging that the United States...
The US seeks price floors with allies to build ex-China mineral supply chains.
If US allies and trading partners start pricing US political risk alongside Chinese leverage, Western minerals coordination will get much harder to sustain.

Ive watched the horrible way you are being treated in the press and public. It's painful to say, but I think the best way to proceed is to ignore it. I've had plenty of experience, though of course not on this scale. A google search will bring up tons of hysterical accusations of all sorts, even groups devoted to vilifying me. I pay no attention, unless I'm approached for a comment on a specific matter. It's a nuisance, but it's the best way. The same conclusions from experiences of others, in some cases close friends.
What the vultures dearly want is a public response, which then provides a public opening for an onslaught of venomous attacks, many from just publicity seekers or cranks of all sorts -- which are impossible to answer (how do you prove that you are not a neo-Nazi who wants to kill the Jews, or a rapist, or whatever charge comes along?). That's particularly true now with the hysteria that has developed about abuse of women, which has reached the point that even questioning a charge is a crime worse than murder. For virtually everyone who sees any of this, the reaction will be "where there's smoke there's fire, maybe raging fire" (whatever the facts, which few will even think of investigating).
In general, it's best I think not to react unless directly questioned, particularly in the current mood -- which, I presume, will fade away, even if not in time to prevent much torture and distress.

I am sending Tom Homan to Minnesota tonight. He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there. Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me. Separately, a major investigation is going on with respect to the massive 20 Billion Dollar, Plus, Welfare Fraud that has taken place in Minnesota, and is at least partially responsible for the violent organized protests going on in the streets.
Additionally, the DOJ and Congress are looking at "Congresswoman" Illhan Omar, who left Somalia with NOTHING, and is now reportedly worth more than 44 Million Dollars. Time will tell all. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT
Sorry, Trump, your support is collapsing and youโre panicking.
Right on cue, youโre deflecting from your failures with lies and conspiracy theories about me. Years of โinvestigations" have found nothing.
Get your goons out of Minnesota.

Dem leaders are predictably taking a position far the right of the vast majority of the liberal base of the party. I say progressives jam a wedge in that gap and hammer away at it. The liberal base is desperate for principled antifascist leadership and there's only one place it can come from
