As just shown in the City Chelsea game - City should have gone for the jugular but were happy to be one up. Ironically given their 1-0 history and Arteta’s past negativity - Arsenal seem to be the only team who value going more than 1 goal ahead

I agree we were ok - not sure ok is good enough. Also you could argue our goal was more offside than theirs (still can’t believe ours was given onside)

I prefer a tactic that gives you a chance of getting more than one goal ahead

I’m just at the point now where I don’t trust the manager to get the best out of the current squad and any potential additions. I know there are extenuating circumstances but I think in the past managers have struggled to come back from that negative mentality

Agree to some extent- but do you really call draws against the teams we’ve played lately good results. I’d be happy with a load of 1-0s but we’re not even winning games consistently. He’s retreated too far into a defensive mind set and yet we still concede goals

The tactics are baffling at times - but the fitness issue is really strange. Half way through the season and there’s still a few players who just can’t do 90 minutes and the ones that do seem to run out of steam in last 15

and misses 20 out of 20 if he’s closed down

I don’t think we were quite good - we were slightly better but we are so safety first. If u don’t put games out of sight then things like that can happen. When was the last time you enjoyed watching Liverpool and genuinely thought they played well. Tactics are stifling them.

I think they expected it to go in the box which is fair enough - but when it didn’t they all just stayed put and nobody made him rush his shot which is inexcusable. Slot has retreated into no risk football - which is always the beginning of the end

But it is down to him - we nearly got lucky but his tactics have levelled the playing field against Leeds (twice), Sunderland, Fulham and Wolves. All teams we should beat easily if the tactics weren’t so risk free
