how dark/gory are you willing to go? Karin Slaughter is my go-to “can’t put down” read. she’s v gory & a lot of the times leaves me a little shook for a day or two, but I love her books!!

also I enjoyed The Missing Half by Ashley Flowers a lot when I read it last year!
