06.10.2025 16:26 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0honestly, there's no point in reconvening congress basically ever again if the executive branch claims unilateral authority over appropriated funds. democrats have nothing to gain by helping to obscure the fact that the republicans are trying to build a monarchy - let him have his rump parliament

Use it while it’s free and utile… but you don’t ‘owe’ this platform anything.
Trump has already declared a Civil War with the goal being one-party autocracy.
03.10.2025 18:26 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0What’s more, this has been built to for years. Campuses have been bending over backwards to accommodate conservative complaints, stifling speech and processes all along.
I have seen scores more ‘progressive’ events cancelled/limited than I have ‘conservative,’ and frankly the ratio isn’t close.
“With the government shutdown and not funded, how will the President pay the troops he plans to have wage war on American cities?” is now a legitimate question for our political discourse.

Note the way he *holds* the box. It’s bizarre, like he has Spider-Man powers and it just sticks to his fingers and palm.

I wonder how much is that the MAGA project is so much built on ‘beating’ Dems (in elections) more than actual governance. Now that the election is passed, these people have retreated back from civic life in so many ways and will just emerge to criticize Dems whenever they get another chance.

I mean, no you don’t. You’ve literally ceded that authority to the President.
“Welcome to Black America” was the line from Coates for me that highlights this disconnect.
Klein is so at sea with the idea that so many people support previously “unacceptable” behavior. His willful ignorance on history and race is quite exposed here.
This is it for me. Klein constantly talks about Kirk being “successful,” but never brings up the money and resources backing him.
Kirk wasn’t just successful because of natural political instinct or approach - he was propped up by an extremely wealthy conservative ecosystem.
Klein openly admitting his has no values (the discussion about lines and him saying “I don’t draw the lines”) was powerful.
Klein essentially defends the Kirk piece by saying he was effective, ignoring Coates’s argument that its effectiveness made the world worse.
the president just said the military should start shooting american civilians if they want to

This is what happens when eugenics is normalized.
This is a very good, concise summary of various extreme right-wing movements and is presented with easy-to-understand evidence to help start a conversation with people who need to know more about this. Save and share.

The superintendent they just kidnapped is a former Olympic athlete who runs footraces with the kids from his schools while wearing a maroon suit and a bowtie. This is quite simply about the people in power feeling threatened by Black excellence.
