new locomotive reveal

Atlas & Ferrora Railway Class F3 329, an 0-6-0 outside frame, inside motion mine locomotive! the luster seams along the eastern face of the Anthracite Mountains are notably less stable than other parts of the range, and as such, the AFR created the F3 class to solve a problem!

The devastating 1906 Earthquake left SF in ruins. To clear the debris, local railroads were put to work.

The upstart Ocean Shore RR, which terminated at 12th & Mission St, was key in clearing the inner city. Jobless residents found work in shoveling rubble onto waiting OSRR flatcars, as seen below.

of course, this is all for the year 1890 - things do change and expand over time, and some of my art does take place pre-1890!

since it's a fantasy world, things dont match the real world exactly, time wise - generally, pawmoxia's tech lines up with about the late 20s, early 30s!

Former Rayonier 2-8-2 number 70 double-heads with Canadian Collieries 0-6-0 number 17 as they both pull an excurion at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, Washington.

This 1922 Baldwin-built logging Mike is operational today at the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad at Mineral, WA after a two-year hiatus due to the tourist railroad's closure.

#17 was also built by Naldwin, in 1891, as an 0-6-0, but was rebuilt as a 2-6-0ST+T in 1918 ( fuel tender plus a saddle tank to carry extra water. It is still at the NWRM, but is in poor shape, having sat outside after last operating in 1969.
