Co-sign. I am less interested in whether someone is a fan and more in their individual perspective. Fans can write great criticism. So can novices. What matters, as always, is the work.

The long and short of it is this: I will become great at writing criticism or I will die trying.

If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

Insanely good. The ending really took me out.

Rolled credits. I’ve got some problems with Cairn’s penultimate act but it’s been a *long* time since I’ve played a game that sticks the landing as well as Cairn does. Again: holy shit.

For much of today I struggled with how reading this piece made me feel.

But then I remembered the time I, as a basketball tryout from a small school, played a D1 player in a 1v1.

It's an excellent work.
