“OK, Boomer” just got flipped on its head. At protests across the country this past weekend, older Americans turned out in force, leading chants, waving signs and showing that resistance has no age limit. And their passion isn’t just inspiring. It might be what helps save democracy.

The No Kings protest was massive! Historic turnout across the country. Shoutout to all the cities and towns that showed up in force:

Trump’s $45 million birthday parade with its tanks and helicopters is an authoritarian ego trip. But the real show of force this weekend won't take place in D.C., it’ll happen in the streets as protesters gather nationwide to declare "No Kings in America!"

First they illegally deport citizens. Then they unleash ICE to terrorize communities. Now they’ve got the National Guard in L.A. to silence protestors.

This ain’t about law and order.

This is what authoritarianism looks like.

A game of chess. Two players sit down to play. One is overconfident, making reckless moves without thinking. Losses pile up, but patterns emerge. The quiet one begins to shift the tide, slowly, deliberately. The bold one grows restless. Control slips. Fury takes its place. And so,

the board is flipped. Pieces scatter. The rules are undone. The loud one calls it a victory. In doing so, they think they’ve won by destroying the game itself. But the other player saw it coming from the beginning. They played anyway. Sometimes you play for the distraction, one move at a time.

The Dallas ICE office is involved in a mass removal effort targeting nearly 200 people — many without removal orders — scheduled to be deported to El Salvador today.

This is not just cruel – it is lawless. I refuse to stay quiet while families are being torn apart, and lives are being put at risk.

This is so heartbreaking and makes nothing better and no one safer. It is the punitive act of an administration that values fealty over human health.
