Ennis has on occasion wrote amoral main characters but for the most part if he's tries to have a grounded human voice but yeah if you really want to see this play out I recomend the vertigo comics he did about war.

One thing I’m shocked by is them saying the manga skews older despite the fact it was infamously censored like…..usually if you say that you avoid kids in general but oh well

Doing a deep dive into Wizard aka the 90s comic trash magazine that still had effect on our lives this weekend I ended up finding one of the earliest pokemon articles debuting a few months after the show hit it’s kind of fascinating to see how they advertised it

The transition to the Joe q era I imagine caused her to get lost in the shuffle as it were but that’s a discussion for another time

One of the more weirder deep dives I went into this weekend was spider-girl popularity, in the late 90s it seems like she was actually quite the hit character if being able to go up against pokemon at the time

Anyway the true story on Spider-Man getting a title more or less

Another factor just in case it isn’t clear is that when I say 8 titles a month that doesn’t meant marvel only had 8 titles, it means most of the comics ran at bi monthly schedules or the like, for FF to go monthly at the time meant killing another book to just be in circulation like that

Another thing I didn’t mention but it’s kind of a truism that detective comics always sold less than Batman because most people just looking up comic titles to buy didn’t see Batman name in it

Need to post more here but for fun the reason Spider-Man didn’t have two titles at the time like Batman or Superman

To be fair it seems they tried to showcase comics he worked on as writer but still I would have highlighted stuff like marvel graphic novels or attempts like epic that allowed for more creative freedom people tend to gloss over

I was hearing talks of a Jimmy Olsen show and thought what if every episode title/ description (or even cold open).was some.ridoculous crazy "clickbait" that is only just barely technically accurate to what happens in the episode to mimic the crazy silver age comic covers.
