Yesterday I successfully defended my PhD thesis!!! It was a fantastic day where I got to celebrate with many colleagues, friends and family (this smile was on my face all day long)

The total number of participants is 5000 - I was very impressed to see and hear their commitment to raising money for cancer research. Especially in the past years with spreading of misinformation online and budget cuts for research.

A group of PhD/ Postdocs/ Technicians who are part of the oncode team for alpe d'huez

This Thursday, I will be part of the @oncodeinstitute.bsky.social team to cycle up the Alpe d'Huez - a (very steep!!!!) mountain in the French Alps - to raise money for the Dutch Cancer Society @liting-chen.bsky.social

Together with more than a hundred cancer researchers, we are up for the challenge for going up to >6000m elevation with cycling, running, and walking in one day at Alpe d'HuZes event this Thursday to support research --> to outsmart cancer!

💡 For the other #phd #thesis writers out there: you can use pdfgrep to search for all words in brackets in your thesis to make a quick list of all abbreviations use from a merged PDF👀👀 (Assuming you defined them all of course!!)
