I love Gideon as a book, but Moira Quirk is one of the few narrators that I will always listen to at normal speed and will actively seek out other books she does. Sheβs incredible.

18.07.2025 15:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me anytime I think about showing my kids The Brave Little Toaster
21.05.2025 01:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Saw Thunderbolts by myself yesterday on my self-care date and in the first shot of Bob, I definitely thought it was Zac Oyama. I had a good time, but I spent the whole morning wishing I had been right and couldnβt get over it.
11.05.2025 21:43 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0a watch maker named Sydney and his mother was a nurse named Verity. This is has got to be a nod to Doctor Who creator Sydney Newman and the shows original producer Verity Lambert. Did anyone else catch that? Am I just slow? Why canβt IMDb ever have cool trivia like that?? 2/2
10.05.2025 07:42 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh my god, weβve been doing a full watch of Doctor Who (1963-present) and we just reached Family of Blood. I just caught a bit of trivia Iβve missed the million other times Iβve seen this episode before. The Doctor, as John Smith, tells Joan that his father was 1/2
10.05.2025 07:42 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Zoom Zoom Zoom song Mazda used would be my contribution.
03.05.2025 17:02 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh my gosh yeah. Sheβs definitely super abrasive and unlikeable by design. Especially in the first two books, sheβs such a passive player in what is happening to her so if you go in looking for a Strong Female Characterβ’οΈ youβre going to be disappointed. The books held up surprisingly well imho
24.04.2025 20:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(the original trilogy movies were cowards in this respect and I stand by that), but so many βkidβ characters were clearly adults. Oh, and Viola Davis was clearly having a great time. But the movie overall just isnβt great. Makes me worried for the Sunrise adaptation. 3/3
24.04.2025 07:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also, they took away a lot of Lucy Grayβs agency and cleverness. The impact of The Hanging Tree song is so much less because they didnβt explain it properly. I will give them props for using some younger looking kids in the arena 2/3
24.04.2025 07:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So Iβm definitely back in my Hunger Games era (I just re-read all the books and watched the movies) and I finally watched Ballad. Itβs not my favorite book in the series, but the movie just lacked the nuance that makes it good. 1/3?

18.04.2025 07:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm not a lawyer but I would like to represent this kitten because I can tell theyβve never done anything wrong in their life and my client denounces this as slander.
11.04.2025 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I guarantee you have a bigger impact on peoples lives than you think. But yeah, therapy is a good place to unpack that.
11.04.2025 01:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I donβt even go here so bear with me. I donβt know if the new Superman movie will be good or not but I do know Nicholas Hoult is a GREAT choice for Lex Luthor.
03.04.2025 23:20 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I do that too! Iβve been doing it for years and it makes me chuckle every time
16.03.2025 17:18 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bookshop.org just started selling ebooks! They also share their profits with your local indie.

11.03.2025 20:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin was a huge hit with my precocious kid when she was four. Sheβs six now and I found her reading it on her own recently. Fabled Stables series by Auxier if you want to go highly illustrated chapter books.
11.03.2025 02:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Ogress and the Orphans by Kelly Barnhill! No robots but lots about how small acts of kindness can change the world.
10.03.2025 02:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just finished the audiobook (bookseller perks for the win!) and itβs a truly stunning piece of work. Still gathering my thoughts but excellent work breaking down the scope of the devastation and the true causes of why this hasnβt been eradicated. Excellent read.
03.03.2025 23:35 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ancillary Justice is always my go to, but you might also enjoy Psalm for the Wild Built or Gideon the Ninth which are both excellent but VERY different vibes. Also itβs YA but I found Snowglobe to be fascinating. Oh! Service Model by Tchaikovsky.
28.02.2025 08:48 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm so sorry Ren. This sucks.
28.02.2025 03:19 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs definitely smart. I can never remember to cancel the ones Iβm not using π
25.02.2025 23:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh fair point. Iβd still say worth the watch
25.02.2025 20:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It was phenomenal. Maybe you could do a free trial?
25.02.2025 04:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As a bookseller, I personally use Libro.fm because they support indie bookstores! Library is also a great option.
