Even though I havenβt been 100%, I still feel like I got a lot done. There was a time when I would make maybe one painting a year. Itβs good that I have been able to keep a regular studio practice going.

I feel really accomplished making these new paintings. Theyβre helping me explore some new themes and revisit ones I have previously shelved. Theyβre also practice for some upcoming projects I have plans for.

Weβve been having some pretty intense weather. One minute itβs warm and sunny, the next itβs storming and hailing. I have been having some pretty wild migraines lately. Anyone else? Since I havenβt been going to the studio, Iβve been trying to stay productive and paint.

One of my goals over the next few years is to get into making miniature enamel paintings. I thought this was good practice. Theyβre still βbigβ for small-scale work, but itβs good to keep the hands busy.

Iβve been working on some new enamel pieces intended for earrings! I turned some of my drawings into stencils and used them to create the patterns. (These are really just test samples to see how the colors look together.)
