A orange Perseid meteor near the Plough asterism in Ursa Major, captured on 12 August 2022 at 23.19 UT. The sky has a blueish colour due to light from the nearby Moon.

When viewing #Perseids this year the Moon interferes quite badly on the peak night of 12-13 August. However, plenty of meteors will still be visible and it is entirely possible to capture some on camera. Here's a shot from 12 August 2022 when the Moon was just past full. #Astronomy
