"chuffed" is one of those words that *sounds* like a bad thing. It should mean "irritated" or "annoyed." I should be able to say "I'm chuffed that 'chuffed' doesn't mean what I think it should mean," but I can't because chuffed doesn't mean what I think it should mean.

i don't know anything about science, and I don't care enough to look into why they want to do it, but "we want to build a nuclear reactor on the moon" is a comic book plot. I am living in a comic book. I am breaking the fourth wall right now. I don't even like Deadpool, but that's what I am now.

While I was cutting up some vegetables, a few pieces of them fell into a dish in the sink. Looks happy enough!

I still don't really think of myself as primarily a horror writer, but over the last five years, pretty much all of my biggest wins have come in horror. My horror stories have been my favorite ones I've done, and I've found the best homes for them. Still feel like an imposter in horror, though!
