Haha it's easier for a fellow lefty to spot another. The cup placement is definitely a strong indicator but the first thing I saw was the way the eggs were angled and positioned

Haha I wonder, with the advent of modern materials, if there's been a sort of blue inflation for the bowerbirds. Have female bowerbirds raised the bar for what they find impressive now that human-made blue objects are everywhere? Blue used to be a difficult color to find in nature!

Day 3 of my daily drawings!

(20 min) Holy crap this one was tough. I think for now I'll have to stick to photos with more simple compositions. I also want to learn the basic techniques. So much beauty out there and I want to be able to express it on the page!

I did watch some sketching tutorials on YouTube. Looking forward to trying to apply some of the things I learned. I think a lot of it went over my head though, will need to return to YouTube, and maybe look into if there are any good guide/practice books that could help me

No drawing today, I didn't even get to 3 days before my streak broke! 😂 That's ok though, the drawings will continue. Was super busy prepping for guests coming in from out of town soon. Plus I'll be spending the rest of the day with a good friend, so time well spent. I'm giving myself a pass haha

The AI training via captcha has been going on for quite a while. It started with text recognition but has moved on to image recognition

The secret real answer is that it doesn't matter. There's lots of wiggle room with the "maybe" squares because Google also doesn't know the definitive answer. They're just croud sourcing human work for AI vision training. "Yes" on an obvious "no" will get you flagged but "maybes" are freebies.

Day 2 of my daily drawings!

15 min felt tight, did 20 today. Still didn't get to all I wanted to! Drew another bird today but I'll vary subjects in the future. I liked the way the bird's tail was fanned out. I want to watch some YT drawing tutorials.
