The preteen went from a size 1 shoe last January to a size 5 by December. I’ve just had to purchase the 3rd set of school trousers and 2nd set of school shoes since September.

So that’s good innit. Can’t wait to tell me Nan how I spent my Christmas money.

2024 included:

A massive career change for husband
A new house found and moved into in 8wks
A last day ever of primary school
A last minute change of secondary school for biggest due to house move
A whole new job for me
A dose of covid

Actually that all happened in two weeks of July so never mind

We’re at the “today’s activity will be a shower” stage of the holidays. Going to really enjoy that when I get round to it.

Aaaaaand done.

From before 2/3 of us were born. I’m sure this’ll be brief.

I did it all except a joint of meat because we have ham left. All mainly for the annual leftover tart.

Today is the first day since Christmas Eve where we’re at our own house. So, obviously, I’m toiling away in the kitchen making my own leftovers so I can make all our favourite leftover meals.

Perfectly sane and not at all mad.

Put the tree up today. Already had to turn the lights off for making my head too loud, like, I instantly felt calmer when the twinkling stopped.

Well, I didn’t expect to get halfway through Rivals with a new crush on Danny Dyer.

Is my tinnitus really bad or do I live in a middle class village full of leaf blowers? It’s impossible to say at this point.

It’s nice looking for a few of the people I’ve “collected” from twitter over the years but leaving a lot of the celebs and corporations behind.

Enjoying our new fortnightly routine of Barry huffing his way through ironing a dozen of his shirts (and one of mine) and cursing himself for letting it build up. Again.
