The aliens know that some of their people do come back as ghosts, so this is a retrieval team

But the ultimate goal will ne to force the ghosts back and close the breach

For more detail, basically this would be s team of specialists (Mostly technicians/Engineers maybe one security office) get sent to a moonbase to see why they lost contact

They discover the personnel either dead or insane and the base is haunted by alien ghosts coming through a breach of some kind

Thought about it, but it doesn't handle the laser pewpew very well

So #TTRPG peeps what's a good system to run a one shot with that can handle alien ghosts on the moon (Will also be live aliens too) without having to do a bunch of adjustments to the system?

It is a power move he always does. Yanking the person he's shaking hands with forward to assert physical dominance by throwing the other person offbalance

And sometimes the best trap encounters are when the finding of the trap is not the puzzle. Its obvious one is there, they see it. But the puzzle comes in, there's no obvious way to disarm it, so how do you get past it? ie: blades swinging across a corridor, spikes going in and out, etc

Also delayed traps or traps triggering other traps

Have an explosion go off. Triggering that one arms a second one on a timer that will go off shortly afterwards

1st traps gets them to stop, they will usually pause and look around during which time the second one goes off

explosives, but that wasn't readily apparent. All any intruders encountered were just randomly hearing the Ka-click as one is triggered, on the floor, a door, window, chair, toilet

So they were hindered by Did I just trigger something? over and over again.

Some fun traps are things that aren't meant to hurt the person tripping it. Instead they're meant to slow them down/distract them or warn the defenders someone is there

in a Battletech game, had one payer 'boobytrap' their base. He just hid little trigger switches EVERYWHERE. They weren't connected

Sounds like its like everything else and its "Just zerg rush it". Unless they've changed other quests, been a long time since I last played. That's one thing I didn't like, rogues were just wanted to unlock chests

And let's not forget the days when you had to go into Suncoast to special order a tape and the people working there thought anime was either elementary school kid stuff or hentai and they looked at you like they were trying to figure out which one you were ordering

I remember the days when to watch anime you had to know a guy who knew a guy who had a brother who's old roommate knew a guy who knew someone who had spent a year in Japan and could copy bootlegged VHS tapes with kinda wonky subtitles

I remember this quest. Played when the game first launched and got pretty good at running through this one on my rogue. I wasn't in a guild so finding a higher level group to run other stuff was time consuming so did this to pass the time

tried again a few years go, and mechanics have changed a lot

Japan has had butter stick dispensers to apply to things like toast for decades! Its a square tube you put a stick of butter into and you can use it like a pen

Which shows just how far behind the US is in butter spreading technology. For a country that uses so much butter this is a travesty!
