And adding more monsters (Or giving them more attacks) makes for a much more exciting battle than just adding more HP to your monsters

If I RP a shopping trip its usually for one of two reasons
1. Magic or rare items for things that aren't just a +1 sword
2. To introduce an NPC that's more than just a shop. They offer other services or info that the party can take advantage of
For mundane equipment its usually "Price is in the PHB"

You know with all these nostalgia properties being given reboots I'd love to see them do a even grittier continuation of Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future

And then my second group loves to have spellcasters

For me I tend to lean towards rogues when I get to be a player. But did play my first full spell caster since 2e in the last campaign. And its fun, gonna do it some more when I get the chance

In one of the groups I run games for, while they're not against casters, its rare for anyone to play one. Even if they do have magic, more often than not they completely forget they have access to spells

have one player who multiclassed into bard and 3 levels later STILL HAS NOT PICKED THEIR SPELLS

I remember in 2e, it was pretty easy for a lvl 1 wizard to get killed by a house cat

House cat gets 2 attacks that do 1-2 dmg per hit vs a wizard with d4 HP

The one time he failed at stealing something it was because the DM needed someone to go to jail to introduce a new PC

real drunk (Poison condition) The sound of violins can be heard when you sneak (Disadvantage on stealth), you belch anytime someone says "I have dark vision"

Major - Larger penalties: You begin sweating profusely DC13 STR save everytime you make a weapon attack or lose your grip on your weapon.

Now I want to make up tables for random effects of potions you find in dungeons. Minor, moderate, major effects

Minor - Cosmetic, humorous changes: Drunk, finger nails change color. The hair on the left side of your body grows 5 inches

Moderate - Inconvenient maybe some mechanical effects

Told the DM that while I'll choose the subclass, but who the deity is will be totally up to him. All he's said so far is "I got ideas" #D&D

So my next character I'll be playing in a Dungeons of #Drakkenheim game is a rogue (probably a smuggler) who gets caught and sentenced to death. In prison he prays "To whoever is listening, get me out of this and i'll follow you for the rest of my life" and some god takes him up on it

So he's going

I'll always remember what John Rogers said about the baddies on Leverage "We based this on a real guy and his crimes. But we had to tone it down a bit because the real crimes just seemed too farfetched even for TV"

I like to look at it more as "If you think your villain's plans are too over the top and weird. Its not. Push it even further. Because when you compare it to the real stuff going on. Having your villain wanting to carve their name on the moon or copyright fish isn't that farfetched"

I have a bunch of signed comics, books, CCG cards from various games, collect action figures. I learned a long time ago that these things only have a monetary value if you plan on selling them

Which helped me to stop the buying collectibles as investment. I only get the ones I want to keep

So what are some good non-AAA #JRPGs for the PS4/PS5 out there?

Looking for something new to play that's not one of those huge name JRPGs

I used to be ok at them when I played a lot back when I used to work at an arcade and didn't have to pay to play them.

Or, ask if you get anything for signing up. Start big like a car or expensive trip

Then when they say no, go a little smaller, TVs computers, snowblower etc until you get to like What about a pen with your company name on it?

See how far you can get before they get really pissed at you
