Clay sculpture of a Zapotec god, from the Valley of Oaxaca. The god on this urn is Cocijo, the Zapotec deity of thunder. This is supported by the raindrops on different parts of the body. The rattles, frequent in images of Cocijo, reinforce this. 350-600 CE.

Writing Tip:
Do something different. Take a class you've never tried. Hang out in a place you don't frequent. Go feed some birds or learn to sketch. New things will always teach you something you can include in your writing. Life experience is a foundation for writing.

Nine years and ten months ago today, on March 25 2016, I started my 'Historic pic of the day' series with this Twitter post of a coupled set of Adelaide H type trams. So, two months from today, the series will reach its tenth birthday of daily posts. It has since expanded to BlueSky and elsewhere.

That's not even a likely fake it's 100% a copy made in the 80s. I know because I own an identical model my grandparents mail ordered in '86

A Melbourne W7 class tram in green and cream livery is a bit blurred in the dull light as it accelerates away from the intersection. The background in filled by the RMIT buildings at the intersection of Swanston and La Trobe Streets. In the foreground is a ground level 'safety zone' tram stop with yellow traffic deflector block, Keep Left sign, metal barricades and unusual curved glass waiting shelter.
