I don't care how much you hate having your picture taken. Someday, someone you love is going to want a photo with you because that is all they have left to hold.

My mom passed away last Thursday. Never have I ever felt so lost and alone. I just found the Ed Sheeran song, "Supermarket Flowers." And the line, "She was an angel in the shape of my mom," fits her so perfectly. She will be forever loved and missed.

Of course it starts to snow again AFTER I finish shoveling the drive. Of course.

I would really like television programs to stop advancing the plot by making me read microscopic texts on character's phones from across the room. 🤬

Also: watch Shrinking on AppleTV. It's amazing despite the texting. Ted Lasso was worse with it, and also worth watching.

The sleep-barking sounds like little squeaks. Seriously the cutest thing.

Our dog is asleep beside me. She's sleep-barking and sleep-tail wagging and it's adorable.

My spouse painted this on a wood cut-out of our dog. I think she did an amazing job!!
The dog is also very happy I've removed the Christmas tree from in front of her window. She can spy on the neighbors again.

Annie had a small tumor removed today. She wants you to know the cone is no fun.

I always liked the term "tweet." Is there a cute term for posting over here?

I retired at the end of August. I've settled into my new normal, after 2 months of doing "nothing." Now I try to do at least 1 productive thing a day. Today I did 2 things. I'm exhausted.

She's a very spotty girl!

My spouse had to go to the ER tonight. I was allowed to go back with her. I hope that I still have the right to do that next year. Not that I want her to go back to the ER...I just want the right to be with her if she does.
