Totally agree! Hate represents the energy of disunity and isolation, while love and kindness is the energy of unity and acceptance. It’s like two poles of a magnet. And hate attracts hate, and love and kindness attracts love and kindness. The better way is pretty clear.

The timing of the TikTok ban is a little too convenient. He looks like a savior and in the process got TikTok in his pocket. Don’t fall for it! Meta is already in his pocket. Control the flow of info and you can shape public perception to anything you want.

I came to a similar conclusion, because none of the reasons any people gave were actually valid. TikTok was the only social media that they didn’t control, meta jumped into their pocket by removing fact checking. And then the timing of this is way too convenient.

Disgust is a cumulative phenomenon. Each tidbit of false information builds to create an internal narrative which co-opts more and more regions of the brain. Consequently, when our brains are polluted with enough tidbits we reach a threshold where it is difficult to return to rational thought.

If you feel disgust from a concocted (non factual) statement about someone, especially in the political arena, realize you are being manipulated by activation of the insular cortex. Because that area handles both physical and moral disgust, you will feel disgusted merely by their suggestion.
