Oh, Rie! I know how exhausting it can be, but do your best to retain hope for the future.
I lost hope after my 14th surgery in 14 years. I almost didn't make it, but then was gifted with a wonderful person who helped me through it. It took 7 more surgeries to finally fix the problem, but here I am!

They're protecting him from all the Healthcare CEOs that want to strike back.
They sure aren't protecting him from the people...

My simple breakfast.
2% Fage plain yogurt.
Kiwi, raspberries, and blueberries.
A great way to start my day.

I'm still struggling with my youngest leaving soon. I've been continuously raising children for 38 years now. She's going off on the grand adventure called "adulthood" and I'm still trying to convince myself she's ready for it.
Ready or not, she's leaving on the 30th.
Exciting times.

Still processing my youngest daughter moving out at the end of the month.
My wife and I will be empty nesters. I've been raising kids for 38 years. I think I'm going to enjoy the quiet once I get used to it.
Much love to you all!

I've been considering an e-reader. I'm still more of the physical book guy, but I have a KU account it just goes mostly unused.
I'm still getting through my latest buys, but once I do, based on your recommendation here, I think I'll get the Kobo Libra. Thanks for the excellent information.

Regardless of what I'm up against, I tell myself that I have gotten through 100%of my worst days.
Some of those days were pretty rough. A few, no doubt, I got through more with luck than determination.
I'm so grateful to so many for so much.
Today is going to be another great day!

I don't know her. My role in the unit is on the tech end. I'm mainly a liaison between the Surveillance Abstractors and the IT department, so I don't meet very many from the community.

I had a good support system through much of it. Gladly, it's been two years since my last surgery, and I have none planned at this point.
Going to see if I can go two whole years in a row for the first time since 2000.

Having had 21 surgeries in the last 24 years, I completely understand how pre-op can suck at times. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible.

If your family has cast you off because of who you are or the choices you've made, I'll be your brother/dad/uncle/grampa. I'm not saying I'll agree with every choice you make, but I can celebrate and love you as a human being regardless of all that.
Everyone deserves love.

You deserve it.

Part of getting good at emotional regulation is acknowledging the imperfections & limitations of our emotional regulation skills-- & not shaming ourselves for the fact that our emotional regulation skillset is still developing.

Progress, not perfection. Grace over guilt.

I've got to find a better way to avoid insomnia. I already put the screens down at least 30 minutes prior to going to bed. I take a warm shower. I wear comfortable bed clothes.
Any suggestions for a daily routine that could help?

I've been raising children for 38 years now. My last one just turned 18 in May and is feeling the urge to be "independent" by moving across the country to live with her boyfriend.
I've managed to slow things down a bit so planning can happen. At least I still have a little influence left.

Each and every interaction with another person is a chance to edify, strengthen, and empower another person. These things, even if done in small and simple ways, can have enormous impacts on your life and the lives of those around you.

That feeling of relief when a loved one who was about to make a drastically bad decision changes their mind and decides that it's better to be patient and wait for things to mature.
Patience is a virtue
