nah, don't be sorry. I hear ya. I don't fit in anywhere either. Not transfem but not cis. Too old to fit comfortably in most furry spaces nowadays. (Formerly?) poly but indexed on long-term commitment and security. I could go on.

We don't have to be the same to fit in. We're still worthy of love.

I hate how deeply angry, bitter and jaded I've become. I hate that that is what I feel most of the time nowadays. And I especially hate that I have good reasons for feeling that way.

Find a creative spark within yourself and fan the shit out of it. Obsess over the act of making, even if it's in tiny ways. Especially if it's in tiny ways. Embrace this miraculous, wondrously human behavior. It is the legacy of your entire goddamn species. Don't let anything take that from you.

I feel like that says more about them than it does about you. That they are the type of animal who devalues anything “less than” rather than trying to see what something is actually worth and uplift it. Is that really someone you want to spend your time, energy, and attention on?
