Yup - not easy to build a network… I’m not on Threads b/c I’m not in Instagram, but I’d assume that it’s a lot more active given the instant network formation.

Not the healthiest, but the little patio in the back of Dynamo Donuts on 24th is lovely. Atlas Cafe on 20th and Alabama is cute too.

I feel blessed to have quite a few close friends with whom I can be vulnerable, real, and few connected with. Making true friends takes work, can be awkward at the beginning, and doesn’t always work. But the rewards from having a few true friends are immense.

It’s funny - once I created this Bluesky account, I became less interested in Twitter. And it the same time, because it feels like I’m less connected and invested here, I’m not using Bsky much at all. Maybe this will be my slow exit from social media? (I left FB 2.5 years ago.)

I’m curious (especially about Econ folks): are you double posting hear and on the bird to see how well Bluesky is growing before abandoning Tw?
