I recently tried to come up with a lentil burger. Failed at the texture (first try), but in the process did come up with a vegan beef flavoring so at least I succeeded at that part!

I came up with a vegan beef flavoring: fermented black soybean plus coconut aminos. (Then I made the mistake of adding mushroom which overpowered it, oops. Too many umamis spoils the broth….)
