Black cat standing on a wooden porch with a black harness and leash. Lots of greenery behind him. He's pissed.
I wish this app would let me into the non-algorithm. I pissed my cat off by harnessing him and bringing him into the wild, and I can't even show you guys because the non-algorithm here is as friendly as Twitter's algorithm-algorithm was...

They've intercepted/attacked the madleen. Headed to give food to little babies in Gaza. Meanwhile, ICE soldiers & the pigs protecting them are being trained by the same gov't blocking aid from getting to suffering people. It's. All. Connected.
What are your plans this week?

Black and white photo showing three different banner drops over the highway in Portland, Waterville, and Bangor. Each banner says LOOK UP NAKBA. Text over the image says 77 years of ongoing genocide
White background with grey faded lines. Top left is a dove with the Star of David as a red eye a red olive branch in its mouth. There is a large black X on the dove. Red letters with an offset black outline says Nakba. Bold text says, The origins of the ongoing catastrophe and Israel's crimes against Palestinians. Black small regular lettering says In 1948 Zionist militias killed thousands of Palestinians and expelled over 80 percent of the population from their homelands.
The Nakba refers to this catastrophe and the ongoing genocide and land theft by the Israeli Apartheid state.
Approximately 78 percent of historic Palestine was stolen to create what is now called Israel. The remaining 22 percent, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, were occupied by Israel 19 years later and remain under apartheid and military rule.
Tiny text at the bottom says Art by: Camil Baraka and Tammuz Knayzueh (1977)

White background with grey faded lines. Black regular txt says, The Nakba was neither the beginning nor the end of the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. After WWl the League of Nations declared Palestine to be under British mandate.
The Balfour Declaration, which was a part of that mandate, set out to make a "home for Jewish people" in Palestine. From 1923-1948 Britain helped settle hundreds of thousands of Zionists in Palestine. They trained and armed these settlers.
Large bold text says Palestinians and smaller bold text continues were not consulted about any of this. They named what would follow the catastrophe, or
NAKBA is bottom right in the same red lettering with black outline.
Bottom left is an image of a woman in a kuffiyeh hijab with a gun that has a Palestinian flag coming out of it. Her dress is black with white text that says week of solidarity with the people and students of Palestine May 15-21.
Small text at the bottom says Art by: unknown (1975) palestineposterproject.org
White background with grey faded lines. Red letters with an offset black outline says Nakba. Bold text says, Day is observed on May 15th, and serves as a reminder of the violent origins of the Israeli state and the 77 years of ongoing genocide against Palestinians.
Regular black text says, In 1947 Britain ended the mandate. What ensued was a violent assault by Zionist militias that would be referred to as the Nakba. The settler colonial state of Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948. Using violence and land grabs they continue to shrink Palestine's borders and oppress the native people. The Zionist goals have always been to colonize the land and commit genocide against the Palestinian people.
Tiny black text says Art by: Hassan al Jassem (1975) palestineposterproject.org
Today is Nakba Day. It marks 77 years of violence, occupation, displacement, and genocide of Palestinian people by Israel. There were coordinated banner drops today over I95 in Portland, Bangor, and Waterville to call attention to this day and the ongoing onslaught of violence against Palestinians.

Screenshot of fb post that says: It's not because he's autistic, it's because he's a fucking nazi. And yes, while the two party system is pretty much two wings of the same bird, one of those wings did not try to executive order me and a bunch of people I love out of existence, so stop acting like this is entirely business as usual. I feel scared. The number of people I know personally who have come to me in a panic this week are scared. I know someone who is literally considering marrying his ex-partner (and mother of his kid) because of fears around her being deported... There are real impacts here. I don't give af if you're clever enough to see through the two-party system, shit is getting a violent shove into worse and now is not the time for you to be self-righteous. Now is the time for you to ask people who are being directly impacted what tf they need. Stop gaslighting. And, if you're on my list and believe he did what he did because he's neurospicy, just go.. and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Screenshot of FB post from Sass Borodkin that says: "The response to what's happening in CA is so weird to me. Seeing all this beautiful, incredible solidarity, empathy, and attention being given there while city after city, tent camp after tent camp, hospital after hospital after hospital in G*za have been burnt to the ground with barely a blip on mainstream media, while regular people even try to argue that it might actually be ok..... it's dizzying to me. I *love* seeing the humanity in response to what's happening with the fires, I'm just so utterly pained about what the difference is there from other parts of the world, which is it starting with and impacting some of the richest people alive. And, please do not put words into my mouth here - I am not celebrating that, nor chastising in any way the humanity I'm seeing, and I'm also aware that it has since spread outside of the wealthiest areas, my heart just feels really heavy wishing this beauty of solidarity and attention would also extend toward G*za, and Sudan, and Congo, and Haiti, and... We're all humans. The worship of wealth is poisonous. I'm just saying it out loud because I'm assuming I might not be alone in this tension. I wish the world would stop burning."
Under the screenshot is a meme that says: *gently puts my mental health in rice*

Workers at the first unionized Chipotle in Lansing, Michigan are calling for a nationwide boycott of the restaurant until they get a contract.
Workers at the first unionized Chipotle are asking customers to boycott the chain.
When they formed their union they just asked for a $2 raise, consistent schedules and fully-staffed restaurants.
Two years later they have no union contract.

An infographic. There are six panels.
1. "Slow internet. Alt text is shown in place of unloaded images." a drawing shows a phone with poor signal, and alt text is visible where the image should have loaded.
2. "Findabillity. Alt text helps to search content." A drawing shows someone searching 'dog with banana' and a post is shown underneath without the words 'dog' or 'banana'. It is implied to be part of the alt text.
3. "Screen readers. Alt is read out to people using text-to-speech software". There is a drawing of the output a screen-reader would show when viewing an image with alt text on bluesky.
4. "Translation. Alt text can be translated". A drawing shows a post being translated. The alt text is also translated into german.
5. "Readability. Text in images can be made legible" There is a drawing of some truly awful handwriting inside a speech bubble. The alt text clarifies what the text is supposed to say.
6. "Disambiguation. Description helps clarify intent." There is a drawing of a post with a picture of a creature. This is styled after the famous optical illusion of a rabbit and a duck. The alt text clarifies that the animal is a rabbit. It definitely looks more like a duck.
infographic titled "How To Write Alt Text" featuring a photo of a capybara. Parts of alt text are divided by color, including identify who, expression, description, colour, and interesting features. The finished description reads "A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybara's head."
