Tell you what, I'm getting a bit fed up with this "accept 10,000 cookies or reject and pay. Well you can keep your cookies and your pay demands. It's "tab closed" for me!

I know. It did need doing though. 25 years of neglect has led to all this work.

8.00am and they're stripping the roof next door. 😭 Never mind, we'll be out most of today. But tomorrow, nail the roof back on? 😱🙉

I can't believe some of the rubbish we've just moved from one house to the other. I shall be in that house tomorrow like a dose of salts. Fresh new house and Son carts a load of old tat there. 🙄 4 months he's had to sling stuff.

10.45pm we finished unloading the second van load of stuff. Thanks to incompetent solicitor it was 5.00pm before the keys were handed over, first van load of stuff was ready to go at mid-day. 🤨 Son's worn out, OH worn out, me? Bloody wide awake. 🤨

I can see them having to empty all that stuff back out of the van because it's due back at 9.00 tomorrow morning and my son can't afford to hire it over the weekend and Monday as well because I don't see this getting sorted at this late stage of the day.

The van is outside packed, with still a house full of stuff and no house to f*cking put it in and it is now 2.00pm. They sent out a contract apparently with no redemption figure on it. 🙆 Solicitors currently arguing over who's gonna sort it. We pay them for this sh*t.

I am NEVER moving. OMG. What part of conveyancing does a solicitor not understand when they give a completion date and on that date turn round half way through the effing moving day to announce they've not done it right!

I don't think any party represents any age group. They represent themselves and what they hope to get out of running the country to fulfil their own agenda (and many of them their own pockets too).

No it's not and I'm fed up with it all. You can't make a move with anything without there's someone trying to lighten yr pocket. Husband got a phone call this PM, turns out the IBD organisation he gave his details to for help have passed it on to a fund raising third party. 🤬

Oh and £50 yesterday for 3 months of flea treatment for the dog and 24 hrs later he's still scratching. Don't even know if it is fleas, we haven't seen any. So that's more money to find out why he is scratching,licking and biting. He's not the kind of dog to let you rummage in his fur.

I'm never moving. It's the biggest rip off going. Today my son has been quoted £75 for a gas fitter to disconnect his gas cooker. Literally a 5 minute job. Then he was quoted for van hire. Went back online half hour later and the price had doubled.🤨

Ohhh, I hope you like it. She's more known for psychological thrillers, where this wasn't quite that. There's still mystery though and such an emotional, touching read.

And for my next #Netgalley read, this one. One of my favourite authors. I've read all her books so far, and am looking forward to starting this today.

Haha yes it was definitely permanent. Maybe they might even motivate me to improve our own house. Did you do the lining paper and painting on your own? That motivates me as my default is "can't".

Yep, want a nice new fresh start. The one who moved out was 20 years of weirdness.

The owner plus mates/relatives or might even work for him, not sure. I get the impression he's a builder himself. He seems really nice and friendly so don't want to upset them before they've even moved in. (Besides I want a tour when it's all done 😄).

There was a *lot* of plasterboard delivered last week. 😬 To be honest the banging and hammering doesn't bother me that much, it's the constant noise of the radio with all the windows wide open in an echoey empty house. Thankfully it's not every day.

Mmm, same goes for book blogging, all depends whether your face fits or not. But can't really complain, I've read a lot of books I might not otherwise have read, the majority fab, only the occasional one a chore.

Thanks. There's only one chimney so hopefully it's all done. They've filled a large skip with bricks and came out of there with very dirty faces, looked like they'd been down the mines.

Finally. Peace in the valley, peace in the city, peace in your soul, can you feel it......Silence is golden..... and so on 🎵🎵 The chimney breast it was, the whole of it, floor to roof. My ears are still ringing. 🙉
