I remember doing a 48 hour film and I had one of the Intel Mac laptops back then. I mixed the whole thing in headphones only to realize that the hum and bass I was cutting out of everything was the laptop fan

I find that if my body needs that rest, until it’s provided I’d be running on fumes and these feelings won’t go away. Also, reminding yourself that regularly, no matter how silly it may seem at times also works imho

It’s not so much about lowering expectations of yourself as it is about stopping equating your work output and your self-worth if that makes any sense. Work is just an aspect of life and it isn’t any more important than the other ones.

Used car salesman bullying a reasonable person into a shitty deal, realizing it didn’t work and throwing a tantrum while waving his short kfc stained hands around. As a Ukrainian I’m sad cause putin’s basically taken over the White House. Hopefully Americans won’t let that happen for much longer

Correctly and comfortably engraved parts make up 65-70% of a studio session’s success rate. It doesn’t matter how good the music is if the musicians spend the entire session trying to decipher what you’ve put on the page.

Recently went over my composer #reel with the help of a mentor. Brutally cutting out some stuff as well as changing the order. It feels pretty good. Can’t wait to add the most recent track I’m in the process of finishing now
