OK this makes me extremely angry. Has everyone forgotten the massive profiteering from thousands of avoidable pandemic deaths?? The unconstitutional suspension of parliament to force through an act of nationalist destruction that cost our children their future??

Look, I know there's a lot going on in the news right now. But the MPC decision today was actually quite interesting!

They were only one vote away from delivering a cut that wasn't on the cards at all, and they now think inflation will not just drop sharply this year but stay low.

Counter point ... being Prime Minister involves taking difficult decisions, based on evidence, information, and risks known at the time.

Do people outside Westminster really care who the No 10 chief of staff is πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Britain has had two decades of stagnating living standards, I wouldn't expect that to be transformed overnight.

Greater Manchester and Burnley regions have shown what consistent policies can do - improvements in productivity and money in pockets of households.

Westminster needs to learn lessons.

Hopefully the IODP 398 studies will also help resolve issues around rifting and palaeogeography development in the Aegean.

Need to combined with recent terrestrial studies on deformation across the wider region ? Say :

Russian spy spacecraft have intercepted Europe’s key satellites, officials believe Unencrypted European communications are being targeted by Moscow

That they’ve done this with the legacy commercial systems is less surprising - but if they got into something like Skynet that’d be a turn up for the books. But only commercial platforms are explicitly mentioned here - which are known to be more vulnerable to RF and cyber intrusions.

EU plan to share data with US border force sparks surveillance fears Washington is demanding access to sensitive data as ICE heightens fears in Europe.

🚨🚨Given current situation and with the sharply deteriorating situation in #trumpland, I think it is unwise, imprudent and just a very bad idea for the EU to go ahead with plans to grant #US border authorities unprecedented access to Europeans’ data. 🧡

Good to read that International AI Safety Report 2026 highlights the need for media literacy programmes to help build societal resilience.

The House of Lords made recommendations around need for wide ranging media literacy programmes last year.
