occam’s razor innit. if you catch yourself thinking ‘nobody can be that oblivious after being told so many times’, the simpler explanation is ‘they know they piss folks off & drive them away. they don’t care. they get off on it. they’re contrarian on purpose bc their only hobby is proselytising’

i have been informed that by posting this screenshot without even including the username of who posted it, i am ‘doxxing’, if you needed any further info about the relationship between these folks and reality x

and when they finally push someone to their fucking limit and get a tiny taste of what they’ve been dishing out, they drop to the floor and scream that they’re being bullied

you know those kids who’d take your toys, destroy your sandcastles, knock you over on your bike, change the rules of games so they’d win, and generally make the playground miserable, and then when no one wants to play with them anymore they’d run crying to the teacher

their accusation that lovelyletters is just for sending letters to the blog runner’s friends is 1. demonstrably untrue and 2. irrelevant? like what would the problem even be if it was just the blog runner’s friends? why are they so insistent that it’s toxic/unfair to have friends?

it’s normal to see posts praising others and think ‘i wish someone would praise me’. but jfc you have got to think ‘maybe i’ll do something nice so it’ll get posted about’ and not jump straight to ‘well nobody is talking about me so this blog is shit and should shut up about everyone else too’

this group accused me of ‘white fragility’ because when they were having disingenuous, circular conversations about fandom racism without listening to the poc (me and others!!!) around them, I blocked them and reiterated that fandom is supposed to be fun and isn’t supposed to make me feel this way

In my experience when people get to the "naming names" stage they have tried everything else. Safe to assume this is like.... step 20. Not step 1.

the bulk of the behavior that's running people off tumblr, also, is not even ostensibly about racism; it's stuff like constantly showing up to scold anyone who writes crackships, or who affectionately dunks on stede, or who mentions jack without pausing to specify that he's pure evil.

anyway goodnight folks. i will leave you with the following questions to Ponder: is it a clique or is it a group of people who chat and interact bc they’re friends who are nice to each other? and are they excluding you bc they’re mean or are they just not friends w you bc you make them feel unhappy?

but this is what happens whenever you say anything they disagree with. it's never just 'i see it differently but okay!' it's 'i see it differently because i am objectively right, which makes me Correct and Good, and you are Wrong and Bad and i wish you'd stop acting in this problematic way'

yes i've blocked them (and earned some vagueposts about how blocking is akin to ostracising and bullying people in the process). but they're all over the place, adding paragraphs of self righteous chastisement to every post they disagree with multiple times a day, and i don't want to keep
