πWelcomed. I think the optics of providing "air conditioning" may have excluded them from grant schemes (historically, although change is in the air), but there are many advantages, particularly in smaller properties and flats. It's interesting that installer capacity is quite high (relatively).

@theguardian.com seem to have multiple crossed wires here:
- The Future Homes Standard will ban gas boilers in newbuild homes. It has nothing to do with existing homes.
- Labour made it clear before the election that they weren't prepared to set a date to ban new gas boilers in existing homes.
