Ahh, so the code used to train is not open source, only the code and weights to run it.

Shouldn't it be pretty easy for competitors to verify using their own training data since the model is open-source and the resources needed to train are much lower?

I suspect we'll start hearing from other AI companies once they're able to (or not) reproduce the efficiency gains.

Are all AI coding tools LLM based? If so, I'm not optimistic they'll ever improve to "AI Engineer" level since LLMs don't reason. Maybe the next generation of AI models would be more promising?

I found your point about future picks depreciating interesting. Kinda like long-dated options gradually approaching intrinsic value.
