The W.25th St. MetroHealth Line project will improve reliability for millions of annual transit riders, and make transit and active transportation more attractive\. That's why we support proceeding with the project without compromise.

Without the hardworking operators and mechanics at RTA, we'd never get anywhere. That's why this year we celebrate those hardworking union folks with a gift of coffee and doughnuts to the agency's two district bus garages.

RTA faces service cuts this year, questions linger about funding RTA expects to cut services this summer in order to trim its annual budget by $11.2 million.. Transit advocates suggest more revenue sources.

Awesome to see @clefortransit.bsky.social and @clmwalkscle.bsky.social move the conversation forward on keeping RTA vibrant.

On Sunday RTA got me home from the airport, saving my loved ones a trip through the snow. We need RTA around for another 50 years

Don’t let disingenuous arguments and exaggerated language like "bus superhighway" shape the future of West 25th. The real debate is whether to cling to yesterday’s parking priorities, or to embrace today’s evidence-driven solutions that prioritize people over cars.

Although transit has only a small percentage of mode share, this represents an opportunity to grow ridership, reduce fatalities, and for
@CityofCleveland
to meet its Climate Action Plan goal of increasing transit ridership by 50% by 2030.

If saftey were really the priority, Sam would support bold transit solutions that attract riders. According to
@APTA_info
and
@Visionzeronet
, even modest increases in transit ridership see large drops in traffic fatalities:

The Market District has ample off-street parking, so keeping parking on W 25th isn’t essential. Reallocating the curb lane to buses and bikes can make GCRTA
more reliable, improve safety by separating bikes from mixed traffic, and improve visibility.

The MetroHealth Line and the other
GCRTA
routes that use W 25th between Lorain and Detroit make it one of the busiest transit corridors in the city, and buses that use this corridor are often delayed. Fixing this requires rethinking curb space.

In his op-ed opposing bus lanes on W 25th, Sam McNulty claims β€œit isn’t about parking,” yet concludes by demanding on-street parking be preserved. That contradiction shows parking is a core concern-one that risks trading reliable transit for car storage.
