Not all farmers align with the ‘farmers for Trump’ group, but unfortunately, we’re often lumped in with them and subjected to misplaced resentment. Regardless of political stance, we all face the economic fallout while still having financial obligations to meet.

We are fourth-generation farmers who are Democrats and didn’t vote for Trump, yet we’re still forced to bear the consequences of his trade policies. Tariffs don’t ensure increased domestic sales—they simply make it more difficult for us to compete in the global market. (The rest of my comment below

My blood is boiling. I’m deeply ashamed of how our leadership treated Ukraine’s president today. This isn’t the America I believe in. I hope Ukraine and the world know he doesn’t speak for all of us.

As fourth-generation farmers who did not vote for Trump, we absolutely hate being lumped in with the ‘farmers for Trump’ crowd because we are not. It’s ironic to see so many who backed him now upset about the USDA cuts. Elections have real-world impacts—maybe this will be a wake-up call for some.

The morning light breaks through the frost, reminding us that each day holds the promise of renewal. It’s a season of solitude, and just as the earth takes this time to renew itself, we’re reminded to do the same—to rest, reflect, and gather strength for the seasons ahead.
