My kids love this game! When we are playing in the pool they climb onto our backs and say "where is [kid's name]?" and we spin around looking for them until they fall off. It's great fun (and a heck of a core workout).
What I'm really saying is my kids treat me like a cat.

Glad to hear they fixed that particular issue. However, that it was necessary to fix demonstrated a fundamental design miss to me. Combined with other ergonomic and user interface issues, I still consider that drive to be top 2 worst driving experiences I've ever had. The other was a rental Hyundai.

A few years ago, I test drove a Tesla Model Y. I opened the door from the inside with the obvious handle and the car started screaming at me. Apparently the handle is only for emergency use and has a chance of breaking the car. One of many red flags that'll keep me from ever buying a Tesla.

Made a pretty good braised pork loin for dinner tonight. Dusted with salt, pepper, all spice, cinnamon, garlic powder, and cayenne and seared. Braising liquid was onion and apple, splashes of cointreau and apple cider vinegar, and chicken stock. Side- stirfried broccoli with a gochujang based sauce.

This whole discussion is giving me big "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded" vibes. Relocating from a well connected city center to a car dependent suburb is never a great move.

And the people joking about dentists making bank off this are off base. Dentists are the first people to push for fluoridated water. (See ADA recommendations) They'd love to free up time for cosmetic work, where the profit margins are way higher.

A look at the barge Oceanus, which Rocket Lab has acquired for conversion into a landing platform for the Neutron rocket.
Built in 2010 and 400ft long x 105ft wide, the barge is slightly longer than Blue Origin's Jacklyn, both outclassing SpaceX's trio of 300ft long droneships.

A revised render from Rocket Lab for their upcoming Neutron droneship! Per the linked press release, the company has acquired a stock barge (photographed) and will convert it, much like SpaceX's approach.
'Return On Investment' is a fantastic name. 10/10 no notes.

Green beans and pecans with garlic lemon oil, just prior to going in the oven to be roasted for Thanksgiving.
Ended up making garlic and lemon confit just for the oil, which I tossed with green beans and pecans before roasting them.

I need ideas for one more veggie dish, preferably on the lighter side.
Current menu:
-turkey (maybe smoked?)
-dressing (cran-apple cornbread)
-roasted root veggies (parsnip, rutabaga, turnip, celery root)
-Brussel sprouts (w/ bacon and shallot)
-dessert: apple crisp
