Can't you see that this is going to spread ? Censorship thrives when people comply.

People can often circumvent the law, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

They would by blocking users from State where it is now illegal to host anonymous social media platform.

Then we disagree fundamentally. No one should comply with really unjust laws. Google and Facebook - for all their wrongs- stood up against Beijing censorship in the late 2000s.

Banning users from a State is very much complying with the law. Even make a partnership with Proton VPN that has a free plan that isn't shady. (Unless they also ban companies from saying that, but seems against 1st amendment)

Either they comply and enable this trend by giving it more credibility (see users don't mind, neither do company). Or they resist and everyone use a VPN. And don't legitimise this law .And make it a failure for state legislators.
