Yeah that's what I was wondering if we have a chart with over and under predictions rather than absolute error value.

Interesting.
The fukuyamian mistake we keep making about trumpism and democracy -

It's not illegal to ban user from State A. Why are you saying it is?
28.09.2025 19:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Can't you see that this is going to spread ? Censorship thrives when people comply.
People can often circumvent the law, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
They would by blocking users from State where it is now illegal to host anonymous social media platform.
28.09.2025 18:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0saying Censorship and firewalls are good because they improve the circumvention tech.
28.09.2025 18:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Then we disagree fundamentally. No one should comply with really unjust laws. Google and Facebook - for all their wrongs- stood up against Beijing censorship in the late 2000s.
And Bluesky isn't decentralized currently. Saying this is good because it will make it so is like
Cosplayers, you said it well. True conservatives don't cheer censorship.
28.09.2025 18:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Would you also say that they need to comply to censorship requests to stay live on countries. Like Bing in China ?
28.09.2025 17:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Banning users from a State is very much complying with the law. Even make a partnership with Proton VPN that has a free plan that isn't shady. (Unless they also ban companies from saying that, but seems against 1st amendment)
28.09.2025 17:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Either they comply and enable this trend by giving it more credibility (see users don't mind, neither do company). Or they resist and everyone use a VPN. And don't legitimise this law .And make it a failure for state legislators.
28.09.2025 17:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Display a big "Your state is restricting your freedom by preventing you from creating an account. We won't comply. Please use a VPN. "
