Currently reading this histrom for the first time and it’s interesting reading two beloved historical romances back to back wherein the FMC strives to get pregnant by another man and pass the baby off as her husband’s. Of course, in this one she’s already widowed. The writing is so sharp and crisp.

This was in response to something Emma Barry posted but it goes for all of you romance authors who are struggling and yet still managing to write stories built on hope and love and optimism during a timeline that doesn’t give us cause for much of that. Thank you all from the very depth of my heart.

Ridiculous and silly books are more important than ever right now. They give us a temporary respite from a terrible reality and that’s not nothing. So thanks to you and to all the other authors who are able to put pen to paper (or fingers to a keyboard) and use your imagination to carry us all away.
