I would not survie the 2020s as a teen, I know that much.

I'm so glad I'm not a teenager in this day and age. As bad as the early 2000s were on our collective body image, social media has made it worse. Now they are circling back to "2000 skinny" but they've added the pressure to self-optimize and videos that tell you water kills you.

The person claiming to know the original possibly is referring to the oldest WRITTEN version, but they can never be sure it is the "original".

Now Hauf or Anderson are a different story- those are "artifical fairytales" written by a single person rather than being passed down through generations.

When you hear someone say "In the original version of this German fairytale..." you can almost certainly disregard the rest of that sentance. Those are stories that had been orally passed down for a while before the brothers Grimm wrote them down and edited them. 1/2

In better news, I've replayed Fire Emblem Three Houses for the 6th time after I've seen the trailer for the new game.

I love the rearraning and decluttering that comes with moving. My lesbian heart even ejoys putting the furniature together.
I do not, however, love the feeling of surrending control by having to ask others to do so much for me because I can't drive.

How do you recognize a book set in England was actually written by American author?

Is it the overreliance on "bloody" and "arse" on nearly every page?

Or is it the fact that two characters, born and raised in parts of the UK, talk about money and use "dollars" as a currency?

Same. She is so prejudiced wothout even realizing it. Not really. She thinks she is the nicest person.

Project I "finished"? I got though it faster than I had expected. I was trying a few new things and I'm not really sure how I feel about this one, but at least he looks cool.

For context: it's not really common to refer to a romantic partner as an "acquaintance" in German, not even in the dating stage. That is the most distant and non committal way she could have phrased that.

grandmother: "So do you have an... acquaintance yet?"
Me: "You know you can say girlfriend, right? Cause that's what it is."
grandmother: "Well..."

I know she is struggling with accepting the reality of my sexuality bit "acquaintance" in that context is wild.

Each level, a randomized member of your party was a traitor and you had to sus them out or risk being stuck fighting them AND the bbeg in the last level. Also, the more you used your abilities during a fight, the more the characters lost their sanity so you wanted to finish battles quickly.

"The PS3 had no good games"

The PS3 had a port of "Lost Dimension" and that alone endears it to me. The gameplay loop of that game is so much fun that I willfully will ignore every other flaw the game AND the console had.

(it also had my favorite "Tales of" Games in the series)

Beat the game- took me 76 hours and I haven't done three optional areas, but I thought it was time to move on. It was an awesome experience through and through.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

I lost half of my notes for the next campaign that starts next month and I'm now scrambling to see what I remember off the top of my head.

Clair Obscure is a rewarding game to get good at. I find myself landing more parries and perfect dodges the more I fight. It also looks beautiful and the characters and dynamics are compelling!

That being said, it's mini games and parcour elements are the bane of my existance.
