There has been a real reluctance for people to say too much about ICE’s continued occupation in Minnesota because the headline was that ICE was leaving.

But ICE has consistently made statements themselves that they are only changing tactics—not withdrawing altogether.

We Cannot Win unless we say immigration is good.

The thing that made the US economy great is immigration. For real. It was our superpower: birth rates fall as countries become more rich but we welcome immigrant. And our university and tech economic sectors are strong due to immigrant talent.

This dynamic is hugely important. The lie *manufactures a precedent* for what is otherwise an unprecedented (& previously unthinkable) series of violations of the American constitutional system. Baselessly accusing the opposition of your own crimes creates a permission structure for them.
