I think the main problem is having things time gated for fomo, battle passes are fine if you can still do it after the season ends, like Helldiver's or Marvel Rival's.

Sorry if I misunderstood what you said, Lucio from OW is historically a character with low skill floor and high skill ceiling, is this poor design? Should his shots be easier to land and damage output overall reduced to normalize his skill expression?

I usually play Magik, Warlock and Starlord. Five days is absolutely enough to gravitate towards a character archetype and have opinions specifically tied to certain heroes.
