Never underestimate the worldbuilding power of things like:

• Demi-planes
• Pocket Dimensions
• Etc

They give you a chance to get really weird with stuff.

And to do so without completely breaking the accepted norms.

I'm not alone in my weirdness!!!

In the longest campaign I've ever ran, there was a beloved shifter NPC.

Long story short, he fervently claimed werepoodles didn't exist.

Later, one was introduced...

I just saw a clip from "100% Wolf," in which the werewolf kid turns out to be a werepoodle! #DnD

Funnily enough, as it turns out...

Someone already used aardgnoll for something different.

It was in a popular YouTube video (28k views) a couple months ago.

So, I reverted back to my original names for them for this post, lol.

Mighty tough kobolds, lol.

Seriously though, they still have more in common with basic gnolls than they do with kobolds or goblins.

Both mechanically and flavor wise.
