imo "personable but professional" is the ideal tone. i don't know many front end devs or designers who are super stuffy people & they're ultimately who you're trying to sway

+1. it's wild how many don't tailor. e.g. the role i mentioned is 50% svelte. wasn't expecting tons of people with practical exp w/ it but maybe only 25/1000 mentioned the word 'svelte' *at all* (including "i see this is a svelte role, i haven't used it but i'd learn it", which is a passing answer)
