All the people calling the Club World Cup a "cash grab"... that's what I feel like this Red Bull team is.

Just not sure how much cash they're actually grabbing.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. I work in the public safety realm. Most of the folks in that realm are super engaged - they are just ONLY getting their info from Fox News, Joe Rogan, etc. There's largely no malicious intent amongst these folks... they're just only getting a very skewed view.

It's going to get worse. AI is going to drive out much of the rest of the news media. Why pay if Google will give you an AI summary for free? How do you sell online ad space if you no longer have to click through to a site?

Paywall news will exist and maybe even do well - but reach will be siloed.
