Elections Ontario said they were not granted additional authority or resources to deal with election misinformation/disinformation, despite a request in the fall. #onpoli

Elections Ontario CEO Greg Essensa says the provincial election budget is about $189M, and would have been similar if an election was called in June 2026.

The big difference is there will only be 3 days of advanced voting compared to the 10 voters would have had if an election was called next year.
