to heavy cream and whisk until it forms stiff peaks. Spoon whipped mixture over the top of the cocktail. Garnish with marshmallows dipped in chocolate and graham cracker crumbs.

Pour chocolate liqueur and regular Vodka into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Rim glass with chocolate syrup and graham cracker crumbs. Add 2 tsp. chocolate syrup to the bottom of your glass. Strain cocktail from shaker into glass. In a separate container, add s'mores-flavored Vodka

S'mores Cocktail from Total Wine:

- Ice
- 1 oz. chocolate Liqueur (dark or milk chocolate)
- 1/2 oz. Vodka
- Chocolate syrup
- Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup(s) heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp. s'mores-flavored Vodka
- Marshmallows, for garnish

And honestly? I'd definitely be something sweet, because I have a sweet tooth. I think I would be a s'mores cocktail. (Recipe below!)

It's Cocktail Week with Maeve!

What does that mean? It's a silly little thing I thought would be fun, envisioning my characters and book as cocktails, but I'm starting with the raccoons behind the writing.

I've included my favorites, but I got to thinking. If *I* were a cocktail, what would I be?

I will be writing books two and three to round out the trilogy after Gift of Fate.

After that? Well, there are so many ideas waiting in my mental queue! Dark fantasy with witches and magical knights, bodyguards, (fae?) pirates, a high-fantasy featuring elves and an epic quest,

I have the absolutely delulu goal of publishing three books next year. I am almost done drafting a standalone dark cowboy romance that took me by the horns (pun intended) and demanded I write it before continuing on with the Children of Urth. My hope is to release it early next year and then

Gift of Fate was no different. There are some inspirations that I remember for certain, and a hundred others that have slipped my mind. I'm grateful for every last one, because they helped me create a book I'm so very proud of.

When it comes to writing, I've never found my inspiration in any one place. It comes from everywhere. From the lyrics to a song, a picturesque view, another book, a video game, or even a wild dream (wish I would have more of those, honestly).

When I set out to write this story, I knew I wanted to do something a little different. I wanted to weave threads of fantasy into shifter romance. I wanted to put a little spin on everyone's favorite tropes. I wanted to write something that was *me.*

I went back to Ontario this year in September, and there is the COOLEST arcade bar. It has emulators for all the old game systems, and you can choose from quite a few games. I'm definitely going back next time for an all-nighter of Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Another great part of my trip to Ontario in 2024 was that my hotel was RIGHT next to a Tim Horton's. I'm not saying I went there every day... but I'm not not saying it either. They had gorgeous, limited-edition travel cups that year, and I still use mine at least 3 times a week.
