Courtesy of the Moulsdale Foundation, Glasgow, whose braided-piped embrace welcomed me on Sunday, jubilee-clipping me firmly in place for two hours of gawping and grinning as my inner 10 year old leapt out and ran giddily round the shiny things. Sigh.

Recommended. The collection is housed in a former e-sure call centre and there’s 2/3 more that they rotate. I’d no idea it was there until I stumbled over it in a Google search last week. Interesting foundation.

Just 4 to tease you with for now. Recommend a visit to see this collection for yourself. Superb variety on show, with a healthy lean into 70s-90s rally legends today. Open days last Sunday of each month. Approx 1/3 of collection on display at a time. My wee 10 year old’s brain is reeling tonight🤩

Nascels and spotlights are one of the additions i have always loved most about rally cars. Stunning array of wonders today at the Moulson Foundation outside Glasgow. When the ‘B’ in BMW stood for beautiful. 635CSi front 3/4 view from wing-height, double headlamps staring confidently ahead, flanking a slim, understated and, yes, classy double-kidney signature, all sloping backward to draw the leading edge of that swooping bonnet two inches closer to the horizon.

Peugeot 205 2dr “Green” special edition in white in mint condition with all standard wheel trims, body coloured bumpers with green piping, factory fitted sunroof. Pure 1988 on 4 wheels. Where are my kid-on Ray-bans?

Simply, the ultimate expression of French class and effortless style - Citroen SM Decapotable. Shimmering silver this shot is rear offside 3/4 with roof dropped revealing sumptuous black leather that wouldn’t look out of place in Serge Gainsborough’s lounge. Achingly, knucklebitingky cool.

A slice of heaven was served up to me on Saturday with a visit to the Bilmuseum in Berlin. A collection of restorers and dealers in a converted warehouse with pub on site. It’s a 100% recommendation from me, folks🍺🚘🌭🤩

Jim very generously gave me a wee shot of the Lane car as it passed through Edinburgh on its direct (?) route to the museum. Made my Mazda feel ponderous and profligate.
Then chatted with a lovely lady in Osaka who let me snap her S660. She said it made her smile every drive. Gotta agree. I loved it
