Theatre 118 is one of the best grassroots theatre initiatives in the country. Situated in an office block in the centre of Glasgow, over 6 months it put on a ton of work and provided a vital platform for writers, directors and actors. The company has just lost its space at 7 days notice.

I know! But if it’s any comfort, the QM is largely just as grimy (and cool) as ever it was 😉

I’m enjoying it very much too, and I’m up to intermediate now. If intermediate means being able to string an occasional short sentence together then I’m doing grand. But mostly I’m just slaughtering a perfectly beautiful language, both here and in España 🤪

Blimey, the ivory towers of Glasgow Uni have changed since my days as a postgrad mature student. Back for nightclasses now and it’s gone all glittery and lofty.

This "daylighting" process removed concrete to create a green, biodiverse recreational space for pedestrians and boats.
