Pope Francis: βI would like all of us to hope anew and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different than ourselves, or who come from distant lands, bringing unfamiliar customs, ways of life and ideas! For all of us are children of God!"
In Pope Francisβs last public address, he preached care of the marginalized, the vulnerable, and migrants, saying: βI would like all of us to hope anew and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different than ourselves.β May we heed his wish.

This from @jdcivicscience.bsky.social nails why small town, red America is not turning on Trump.
19.04.2025 15:29 β π 9316 π 1882 π¬ 3437 π 1134I don't trust Gavin Newsom at all. Not one bit. Any leader who calls the denial of due process and detainment and deportation of a legal resident of this country a "distraction" is just not someone I can trust.

Corporate media barely covered the massive pro-democracy/anti-Trump protests Saturday. But thankfully we have independent media and social media to share the truth. Here are just a few of the photos of the patriotic protesters across the US:

19.04.2025 23:35 β π 52315 π 11431 π¬ 789 π 349Friendly reminder. In the United States, criminals are entitled to due process. Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

"If the government believes there is a legitimate case to be made, it should present that case in a court of law β¦ not on social media.Β But that cannot happen until Mr. Abrego Garcia is returned to the United States and given full due process."
Looking forward to the Trump DOJ trying to explain to Judge Xinis how the United States remains totally powerless to do anything about Abrego Garciaβs continuing detention at the CECOT.

Yes, this keeps on happening because of them, and yes, it is all their fault.
Weβre DECADES into this, and theyβre STILL blocking everything to stop this type of stuff from happening!

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.
