Living in the Vienne region of France. Love visiting our old home in Luxor in the winter.
I bet! π‘ I hope you feel better soon

15.02.2026 16:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Do you have to keep the noise down when watching in France in case the neighbours hear you or do you diplomatically applaud both teams?
15.02.2026 11:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's getting a bit personal isn't it? π€£
15.02.2026 09:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lots of good reasons to go over. I think our son will be in France for his birthday in April. Being away I haven't run low on Branston this year, he usually brings it over with him so will stock up when we go over, plus marmite & L & P Worcester sauce & sandals/shoes.
15.02.2026 09:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Funnily enough I love Branston but have never found a chutney I really like. I think its a texture thing
15.02.2026 08:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Looks like it from what we've seen. Our Marie posted "At 23:00, the Benaize continues its decline. She went down from below
1.30 m. " The sirens had been used earlier apparently, luckily we are quite well up the hill π
The nice things will hopefully more than make up for the bad. We're going on a shopping trip later in the year, first for 2 years. I need new prescription reading glasses, lost a pair last week & I know its changed. Everybody seems so miserable. We probably won't notice the potholes after Luxor π
15.02.2026 08:34 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Courage mon ami! How long are you staying?

That looks horrendous, drive carefully! Sounds like your friend has the right idea being away, very glad we've done it this winter!
15.02.2026 07:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I relocated the wifi router outside & 2.5M higher, π€we will have reliable internet now! Have removed & washed 3 more covers from the outside cushions. 5 done now, they were filthy, they must have been out all year! B has beaten the cushion stuffing to get rid of the dust so clean up & out for dinner
14.02.2026 15:16 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What a shock for you all. Very glad he's OK but I bet he'll be very wary around FLT's for a long time now!

14.02.2026 13:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well done π I'm sure it is worth all the hassle you had to locate it.

Luckily we're not superstitious, we fly on Friday 13th next month. As we're going back to France maybe it will be a lucky day π€ First time going in since the new EES rules so not sure what to expect with UK passport & CdeS.
13.02.2026 07:05 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0B isn't a great meat eater so we do use quite a lot of mince at home but it's nice to have the choice, I do miss pork! The chicken dish was lovely but the courgettes broke down a bit even though they went in on a low heat near the end, maybe it was the wine in the sauce π
13.02.2026 06:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're all making me jealous. Limited choice of decent meat in Luxor (lamb & pork almost unheard of & beef pretty tough) Got V good frozen mince so had pasta shell bolognese last night. Defrosting chicken breasts for tomorrow will add veg & wine. Cooked last 2 days so eat out tonight.

11.02.2026 11:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is so true. It's just making the effort to go that little bit further that gets you a good reputation (and contracts!) π

11.02.2026 11:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ours were in the garden & weren't exactly pretty. Luckily our garden wall is taller than the bins & has wrought iron on top so when we moved in we put trellis up at the end of the flowerbed. They live at the end of the path between the trellis & end wall & fight the rather rampant chocolate vine!
11.02.2026 10:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bins tend not to evolve don't they πI did see some communal ones in a town near home in France & they were really pretty, floral scenes on all sides π
