I'll wait for the Richard Donner cut, I hear it was far less wacky, had more Pontius Pilate, and the scene when Mary Magdalene figures out he's the son of God is a lot more realistic.

I dont see why not. They dont give back stories, but they are not essential to whats going on. And it might be just like the comics in the olden days, you end up reading a random issue of a story with no clue who was what but fully enjoying it.

The whole point of the film is the mother without faith believes and the man with faith doesn't believe. So it challenges viewers of faith, or viewers without. And it scared the crap out of me and I'm an atheist...the book moreso

Ayinde, and I'm still reading short stories based on The Stand, loved the stories by Tim Lebbon and C. Robert Cargill

You should try Mobland, both Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren with terrible Irish accents...and Brosnan is Irish!!

Cover for Uncanny Xmen 183, Colossus fights Juggernaut outside a bar while Nightcrawler and Wolverine watch in horror. They are all in civilian clothes as they were all out just having a drink minding their own business...even Juggernaut. Best issue of X-men ever.

My favourite issue of X-men ever, and definitely in my top 5 comics of all time.

Reading a story a day from the excellent The End Of The World As We Know It ed. By Chris Golden and Brian Keene and as respite from all the apocalyptic doom and gloom I'm reading a Star Trek:Strange New Worlds novel, The High Country by John Jackson Miller, enjoying it so far, big fan of the show.

Isn't there a theory that nostalgia runs in roughly 30 year stints based on generations, so 80's was the 50's ( Back to the Future, La Bamba etc) 90's was the 60s as you say, so it makes sense that todays nostalgia touchpoint would be the 90's...altho now that nostalgia is the snake eating the tail

I don't know if its a sign of the quality of the show or not, but since being blasted with Black Sabbath's Mob Rules in the end credits of Episode 1, I most look forward to which great metal song will end each episode

Hallooo, just got back from a few days in Bonnie Scotland where I have been mostly reading The Stardust Grail by Yumi Kitasei and I purchased It's The End of the World As We Know It from a bookshop in Stirling...so clearly Scotland is a week ahead in publishing. 2 stories in, so far, so creepy...
